About Us

Al Azhar Darul Uloom Madrasha and Orphanage is more than an educational institution—it is a place of hope for children who need it most. Established to serve the poor, the marginalized, and orphaned children, the Madrasha provides a unique blend of Islamic knowledge, moral guidance, and modern, life-oriented education. Here, education is not just about learning—it is about rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and giving every child the opportunity to dream again.

Behind this noble initiative stands Al Azhar Foundation, the living vision of a lifelong dream. It was founded to carry forward the mission of Azharul Huq Chowdhury—a pioneering NGO leader in Bangladesh whose life has been devoted to uplifting the disadvantaged. As the founder of Swanirvar Bangladesh, one of the country’s most impactful non-profit organizations since independence, he has touched countless lives through his commitment to education, empowerment, and social justice.

For him, education was never just a service—it was a responsibility. A responsibility to reach those who are often forgotten. A responsibility to ensure that no child is left behind because of poverty, loss, or circumstance.

Al Azhar Foundation exists to fulfill that vision.

Together, the Foundation and the Madrasha stand as a promise—a promise to provide not only knowledge, but compassion; not only guidance, but opportunity; not only education, but a future. They are building a generation rooted in faith, strengthened by values, and empowered to rise above hardship with confidence and purpose.

This is not just an institution.
It is a mission to transform lives.
